Inspiring People: Darren & Jasmine

Darren & Jasmin at The Little Ladybird Nursery

We would like to introduce you to Darren and Jasmine.

We spent a day in their garden today and we felt so excited on our way home we wanted to share some of the wonders we discovered and tell you a little about our beautiful friends and what they are creating in a little country town in NSW.

We love spending time with these guys. Their passion for plants and seed collecting is infectious and it is so beautiful to see their garden changing as they do! They grow a lot of heirloom varieties and natives.

Darren and Jasmine have dreams, passions and desires and they are living them and acting on them with all sorts of awesome results. They are creative and have so many different talents and we find out more wonderful gifts each time we see them. We really enjoy talking to them about their ideas and feelings for the garden and getting to know them more each time we see them.

part of the Garden, seed collecting paradise
The plants in their care are beautiful, they flourish and grow and the ones that don’t they are looking to themselves about why they are not doing so well and it is always interesting to hear what is going on and how it is reflected in the environment around them. We feel the land is beginning to feel loved and cared for.

The garden is so different to a year ago. Now it looks like a seed collecting paradise with beautiful plants and their fruits everywhere. During the dry periods we have had lately, the gardens have retained moisture due to the gardening techniques that Darren and Jasmine have employed.

Darren and Jasmine began selling the plants they had grown on the side of the road by donation. Their love of plants and seed collecting and their desire to share it is beautiful! There is now a nursery run my Darren’s mum and her partner (Julie and Nevel)*

Each time we go to visit their place there is a new invention often made out of the materials they have on hand or have found or been given. There are piles of woodchip maturing everywhere and all sorts of wonderful experiements. It always feels to us that they can grow anything, their love of seeds and plants is infectious!

There are nesting birds residing in the trees, insects of all descriptions, various methods including waterless gardening, back to Eden ideas (woodchip), permaculture principles, fibonacci principles and traditional gardening techniques as well as their own ideas and inspirations. They now have their own seeds – sown, grown and collected on their plot for sale in the nursery. They investigate, explore and experiment.

Darren was recently asked to have an exhibition at the Uralla Show where he created a tomato tasting event, a rose out of a watermelon, and won all sorts of prizes for the beautiful produce he and Jasmine grow. They had an heirloom rock melon that was heavenly, it smelt amazing, unlike any supermarket fruit I have ever smelt. The wonder of God’s flora is amazing, so many colours, shapes, variations, oddities, so much beauty and always wonder at how perfect each plant, insect, creation God has made is!!

Inspiring People: Jesus, Mary & A Super Cool Dude Called God!

I want to share with you about some friends of ours Jesus and Mary. I have known them approximately three years. When I first met them I was pretty stand offish and actually rather horrid towards them. I have gotten to know them and I feel they are two of the most inspiring people I know. It is not only because of what they have done or achieved – though this is interesting and incredible in it’s own right – it is because of how they live, what they teach and what they stand for. It is their passion about sharing ‘how to’ connect to God and the method that anyone can follow to be at one with God if they want to do so. It is such a beautiful gift they are bringing to the world and I don’t think I quite realise the true significance of it even yet.

Jesus and Mary practice the principles of Divine Truth and put Love and Truth and growing a relationship with God in to action every day. They transparently and openly share about their personal experiences and their ever growing knowledge of God and ‘The Way’ to God that each and everyone of us can walk and be at-one-with- God if we so desire.

Since being a little girl I have always thought that this world could be different, and by different I mean more loving and truthful and open, where ALL souls were loved, cared for and could grow to their full potential in every area imaginable. I believed for a time that any dream, any wonderful thing would come true. That anything I imagined was possible and could and would actually happen, I was convinced of it, any dream I had was not too big or not too hard it was all able to actually be, I thought it would be.

I ‘lost’ this ‘ideal’ as my environment called it, as I got older and became cynical. I still hold the cynical feelings in me but since listening to the teachings of Divine Truth and beginning to grow my own relationship with God I am seeing that many of my ‘ideals’ and ‘imaginings’ when I was a child are actually totally possible and often at their core in harmony with the principles of love and truth and from what I know and am learning about about God, it is totally possible with God.

This excites me. I have not been excited about something more than my next material acquisition for some time. But this ‘brave new world’ this ‘utopia’ God’s Kingdom on Earth IS possible and is truly exciting – just imagine the most beautiful thing you can possibly think of ever, for a minute, and then billionionise it and I don’t even think that is as beautiful as God has made possible. It is going to take courage, feet walking in the direction of peace, giving up fear and standing for Love and Truth all the time it is not going to always feel ‘nice’ and ‘smooth’ and ‘easy’ under all circumstances but it is possible!

Jesus and Mary inspire me in this. They walk ‘The Way’. They are actually doing it. They have done so for 2000 years and they have come back to show us all how to do this. What a gift! I myself feel so blessed to have met them. What I have learnt about God (intellectually) from them is so cool (what I am learning about God from my own experience is also totally cool!). God is one SUPER COOL DUDE!!! Like so incredibly amazing that I cannot actually quite grasp it and at times really don’t believe it – yet, smile.

Jesus and Mary have so many hours and hours of talks and discussions on the internet if you are interested in finding a whole new way to live. It is not about following Jesus or Mary, it is about your own personal relationship with God and growing that. It is about each of us finding our way home to our true parent God. For each of us that journey is going to be different – look a little bit different, feel different and take differing amounts of time.

Jesus and Mary inspire me that living The Way is possible. Every time I hear a talk or I see them I feel inspired to keep searching, experimenting and discovering for myself and that this is possible for me too. Through their example I know that I can do the same*. I feel like it is possible and the idea that I am a celestial spirit in training, that I will one day be at-one-with God and I can change myself with the help of God and God’s love, enough and that has the possibility to change the world. The more I live the principles Divine Truth and when I receive Divine Love**, the more I grow in love and know God the better and happier my life is going to be (and in my small experience it is better) and the most amazing things are possible!!!

How exciting is that? I feel it’s VERY exciting!! smile.

I just want to thank our friends Jesus and Mary for your encouragement to myself and every person on this planet to discover and live the principles of love and truth, for your love, compassion, kindness, and the many multitudes of gifts that you give to us and to all the world!

To have the gift of your knowledge and desire for God and the fact that you want to generously share that with everyone who wants to know is awesome!

I am excited and feel like finally I have found a way that I can grow forever on, that I can discover as much or as little as I would like to, but that the more I hear about it and the more I find out and feel into it is is changing my life for the better and I am so grateful for you both exposing that knowledge to everyone who wants to know about it!

Thank you!

* I am beginning to realise that we don’t actually need anyone else in our lives to inspire us or lead us if we have a personal relationship with God, but it is inspiring to meet people who are passionate and desiring a much bigger more loving world and living the principles of Love and Truth that can achieve this! A Revolution in Love – WOW! smile.

** This is not something that I have been open to so far on the journey.
